[ Meeting Rise's friends, too? Cute girls? Or just good people, you know. All are good.

Of course, the second part of their conversation isn't that exciting. It's actually heavy on the side of depressing. ]

[Just don't think they're cuter than she is, okay? But that conversation's temporarily shelved because she needs to tell him the not-so-good parts.]

Yeah...Yu-senpai would know more than me, but some really awful things have happened in other parts of the colony. Ghosts and monsters and robots and stuff like that? People come back here after they've died but that doesn't change what it is. [It's scary. Death is scary and awful.]

[ Perish the thought! Rise is always the cutest.

But onto serious conversations... ]

Oh...Yeah. I mean, I heard that the whole beach thing was pretty relaxed in comparison to the last few times the game brought people in. This girl mentioned a Battle Royale-type scenario. I didn't think it was so...literal.

That one was even worse because the monsters had certain targets they were going after on top of NPCs that were trying to kill us. [That was a nightmare and a half.] For all that CERES says they've saved us and they're helping us they really don't act like it. We haven't figured out a good way to keep everybody completely out of trouble here since they do these things without even warning us.

Geez...what's the point of all of this anyway? Do they just like messing with people and seeing what freaks them out the most?

[ To be fair, his dignity was scared off on the beach. ]

[She shakes her head, pausing to sip her coffee again. That's a great question!] Who knows? They know way too much about us, too, and what'll get to us the most.

[...but enough scary stuff. She playfully knocks a knee into his again.] But don't worry, okay? We're together and it's really easy to meet new people, too! [Somehow it's better if they're all suffering together. Cool. Thanks Rise.] You learn how to take things on as they come up.

[ That's simultaneously a nice and dismal way to look at things, Rise. At least Yosuke seems to take it as the former. ]

Y-Yeah. I mean, I've got a head start with you guys and apparently some other people already know me.

[She nods, not at all surprised.]

It's not like you're not friendly, you know. Of course people knew you from before! You and Senpai were here for a few months before me. That's plenty of time to make friends. [A pause.] That's about how long it took for me and you to be friends, right?

[ Ahh, Rise, he's not surprised you know how to make things better. ]

Yeah, you're right. [ It's different with them, of course, but Yosuke likes to believe they'd all still be friends even if it hadn't been for the Investigation Team. ]

I'm glad you guys are here, though. I don't know what I'd do without you.

[Of course they would be. She would agree with that and that's what would make Golden Week more special when Yu returned to them. They were more than a team. But at his statement she gives him a sly look.]

I don't know...maybe you'd still be wandering around in that cute bathing suit of yours. [Just sayin'.]

[ Of course she says that when he's going for another drink of coffee, because why else would she wait for him not to nearly spit-take on the sofa? Instead, he chokes unattractively. Thanks, Rise. ]

Why'd you have to go and bring that up again!? Aw man, if there's anything I want to forget...

[Sorry, she's busy giggling really hard suddenly.]

Aw, it was fine! [No it wasn't but it was actually hilarious.] Don't worry, Yosuke-senpai. For my pool party you can wear whatever you want. It doesn't have to be something like that.

[ Rise, you're really lucky your laugh is cute! Gah! ]

I'd sure as hell hope so. I think we could reasonably question what kind of party you were throwin' if that was the case.

You'd still come anyway. [THIS IS FACT. You can't fool her, Hanamura.] But don't worry, Leon and I already checked out the water park and came up with a good plan! Now it's just about picking the right date.

Wait, seriously? You mean you're actually having a pool party?

I didn't get to have a birthday party, so why not? Do you think it's a bad idea?

Well...no, not exactly. I guess it just seems kinda sudden.

It's not that sudden. I've been thinking about it for a couple of weeks. It'd be a nice way to get everybody together, kinda like the cultural festival we had a few months ago. And it'll be a good way for you to meet more people here, too.

You know, normally I'd be all about meeting a bunch of people in bathing suits, but the last time that happened to me here was, uh...not quite what I expected.

You can wear a wetsuit if that makes you feel better.

It's just a thought! [Grin!] Finish your coffee. If you want, I can show you around a little before Yu-senpai gets home. [She's not dumb. She's pretty sure they need guy-time together even though she doesn't quite get it. But they're best friends...they could use time together.]

[ That gets him to shake it off pretty quickly. ]

Oh, yeah? That'd be great! I was gonna take a look around anyway.

[ So a guide is much better. At least he's smart enough not to just chug the coffee, even if it's turning lukewarm. And then he'll get a private tour from Rise Kujikawa. This day isn't shaping up to be too bad after all.
