No, really, this is a good thing. The only reason he doesn't answer in the first place is because he's in a recording studio working on some lame ass commercial jingle that he agreed to help write and his CereVice is on silent. So when he's on break, he sees the missed calls and subsequent voicemails.

Jaune...dude...of course he'd know it was you... Could anyone really mistake Jaune for someone else??

[ Ah. That...he actually doesn't really want to explain too well. Yosuke had gotten pretty pissed at Nico when the guy revealed his trump card, what with Jaune's body laying lifeless a few feet away. There's clearly some hesitance on Yosuke's end of the line given his silence. ]

He can do this...shadow teleportation thing. We set off another security measure and he got us out.

Oh, that... that would've been handy, huh. I guess five was a crowd for shadow traveling...

[ Jaune figures it's just a limit to Nico's powers. In that case, it was a good thing they were a man down. Easier that way. ]

Yeah, right? To be honest, I was pretty pissed when he told he us he had a way out the whole time. I chewed him out pretty bad, but once he got us topside, he passed out. I guess that's why he didn't bring it up before.

[ Honestly, he thought that maybe Nico should have used it once it was clear that Jaune was having trouble--at least get him up so he could get some help, but. Well, too late for that in many respects. ]

[ Which is kind of grossly sincere to say to a guy you barely know, but, hey, death makes you friends or something. ]
