[ He is super fluffy. But Yu likes fluffy things so that should be a bonus for him, right? Speaking of which, he adjusts some of the furry ruff around his wrists. ]

Uh...one of those pop-up costume stores? Why?

[ He turns around, now a little nervous. ]

...How bad does it look?

[ Smiling, Yu secures his cloak and moves over to Yosuke. He definitely likes all the fluffiness going on, given the way he scritches his fingers into the ruff on Yosuke's chest. ]

I don't think it looks bad. I like it. I just don't think I've seen a costume like it before.

[ Yu's approval calms his nerves a little and he relaxes, smiling back at his boyfriend. ]

Well, they didn't have a ton of options. When we decided we were doing Vampires vs. Werewolves, I thought I'd end up Underworld-style, but I think we're a little more...Old-Timey Dracula and his dog sidekick.

I'm okay with that.

[ leans in to peck Yosuke's cheek. ]

We'll just be a little classier this Halloween. To be honest, I don't think most people will care.

[ given the alcohol. ]

[ Yosuke gives a small snort and places his hand at Yu's hip. ]

"Classy" and "Halloween" don't usually go together, but...I'm actually pretty excited? Thanks for inviting me, by the way.

[ Yu's smile warms, and he leans in to nuzzle Yosuke's cheek. ]

Of course. [ something in his tone says, who else would i bring?

Anyway. He'll go assemble the rest of his costume, which isn't much. but he does have the fangs on hand -- nice ones, that don't look goofy -- and he'll pop them onto his teeth before turning around to smile with fangs. ]

I think we'll have a good time.

[ He has to laugh a little at Yu's toothy grin. Yu isn't someone for big, wide smiles, but he's going to have to a little more than usual if he wants to show off those chompers. ]

Are you gonna be able to drink and eat with those in?

Drink, sure. Eat, probably not. [ A beat, and a careless shrug. ] We'll mostly be doing the former anyway, right?

[ Again a toothy smile. This time he gives it a dangerous edge, and manages to look just a little vampiric.

... before his smile softens and he just looks like himself again. ]

You ready to go?

[ He is a little excited to drink--because he's planning on it, this time. The last party ended up being something of a mess after the punch, but Yosuke is gonna watch himself and Yu tonight. (Not that he thinks Yu is going to go crazy, but they do definitely want to make it back home.)

Yosuke nods. ]

Yeah--oh, shit, wait!

[ He grins as he pulls out his phone. ]

I need a selfie for my Instagram.

[ There's a brief pause, and then Yu huffs a laugh. ]

Do you want me to just take a picture of you?

Uh, first of all, selfie implies that you take it yourself. [ Duhh! ] And second, why do you think you're not gonna be in this too?

[ Yu sighs, but he's smiling as he moves over to Yosuke's side and pecks his cheek. ]

Dork.

[ Yosuke grins as he holds up his phone, switching the camera view to selfie mode. ]

Say "cheese"!

[ It's a nice way to set the tone of the night. A cute selfie -- Yu may have taken one of his own not meant for the public wherein he captured himself pressing a kiss to Yosuke's cheek -- helps establish a warm, happy mood that persists once they get to the party. They're both being a little more careful than they were at the house party, but that doesn't mean they don't get drunk.

Because they do.

And as Yosuke may have learned, Yu is a on affectionate, handsy drunk. Which is why he eventually finds Yosuke and drapes arms over his shoulders from behind. ]

Yoooosuke.

[ It's a college party, of course there would be drinking. Honestly, Yosuke has always wanted to be able to crash some sort of college party while he was still in high school, though does it really count as crashing if you're invited...? Well, whatever--Yosuke is definitely indulging a bit because he can, though he's trying to stay cognizant of the fact they have to get home.

Home. Yu's place. You know, same thing.

Of course, that was before he took part in beer pong. And lost. But it was still fun.

And then there were the fireball shots, which were absolutely terrible and Yosuke wanted to spit them out right away, but he had to be cool. He needed to be cool!

He felt so cool. So super cool.

And so is this wall, wow. What an amazing texture. Does he recognize this song? He thinks he does.

Oh, hey, he knows those arms. Yosuke straightens, albeit on wobbly legs, one hand holding the wall for support. Except he just grins. ]

Heeeeey, Yu.

[ Yu, on the other hand, never really feels such pressure to be cool. However, he's absolutely terrible at judging his own limits, so after a few cups of jungle juice he's basically gone.

But Yosuke. Yosuke is warm and smells nice, which is what he thinks when he sticks his face in Yosuke's hair. ]

Weren't we not gonna... mm. Yosuke, have I ever told you you smell nice? Like... shampoo.

[ Weren't they not gonna? ]

What?

[ Get wasted? Well, technically they're still standing...so it counts, right? Feeling Yu's nose pressed into his hair and the warmth of his chest at his upper back, though, sends equal warmth to Yosuke's face. ]

I, uh...I showered before we got ready, remember?

[ He had to redo his hair. Because he's Yosuke? And make it look particularly scruffy for his werewolf costume. He turns his head to try and catch a glance of Yu as he reaches up to tug on Yu's wrists. ]

Where've you been, Count?

[ As usual Yosuke can read his mind, because that's exactly what he was thinking. They're drunk. Very drunk. Or he might be a little drinker than Yosuke is. If he's learning anything, it's that he can't really hold his alcohol.

And also that Yosuke smells really nice.

He lets his boyfriend snag his wrists, smiling at him and thinking about how kissable he looks. Then again he always looks kissable. Maybe he's just particularly kissable right now, in this light...? Yu gets mentally hung up on that conundrum for a moment, delaying his response. ]

Siring more vampires, [ he says, rather matter of factly. (He's just been talking to people.) ]

[ For a moment Yosuke's not sure if Yu heard his question...or if he actually asked it? Yes, no--he did. Yu is definitely drunker than Yosuke right now, but Yosuke's mind is still a little foggy after his nice chat with the wall. (It's a decent wall.)

His response is actually a little alarming. Yosuke blinks, pulling away slightly so he can actually look at his boyfriend. ]

Wh--are you--are you goin' around biting people?

[ Because that's what Yosuke just pictured so that's what just came out of his mouth. ]

[ Yu wrinkles his nose as Yosuke twists in his arms. Yu finishes the job for him, shifting so he can face his boyfriend and once again drape his arms over Yosuke's shoulders. Standing straight is too hard, so he presses his forehead to Yosuke's.

To be honest he's already forgotten the first thing he said. ]

Mmm... the only person I want to bite is you.

[ casually, with half-lidded eyes. ]

[ He's a little concerned. Yu does have a tendency to want to play the part, but--

Oh.

Oh.

Well. That sends ideas places. And it's difficult to properly focus on Yu with him so close. ]

...G-Good. 'Cause I don't want you biting other people n' stuff...

[ He tugs at the sides of Yu's cape. ]

Mmm, don't worry. All the vampires I sired are ... vampires of the mind.

[ translation: he talked to them. ]

What's up?

[ why you tugging on his cape bro ]

That sounds weirder, honestly...

[ Ah, Yu, you totally missed his meaning. Yosuke finds himself a little disappointed. ]

Nothin'.

[ He tugs again. ]

My costume doesn't have a cape.

[ he is drunk and oblivious, let him live. ]

Huh? D'you want mine?

[ Do werewolves need capes? But he'll still lift his hands to the fancy knot that's keeping his cape tied, obviously intending to untie it. ]

...

[ He thinks about it for a second. ]

Yes.

[ Give him your cape, Yu. Maybe he wants to feel powerful. ]
