[ To his credit he's really just shoving at Yu's shoulders to prove a point. ]

I think the idea's there without the weird name.

[ A log pause in which he does not budge an inch. ]

[ Why you gotta be like this. ]

I thought it was cute, [ he complains, still hanging on Yosuke's waist, his cheek smushed against his boyfriend's belly as Yu peers up at him. ]

[ Yu, why are you so cute. It's hard to be properly annoyed when you're looking at him like that. ]

Ugh.

[ He's got to try and make his point, though, even if he does it while running his hands through Yu's hair. ]

You're so weird.

[covenantal]

[ Yu kinda. Presses his face into Yosuke's tummy when he feels those fingers carding through his hair, huffing a quiet, contented sigh. ]

Yeah. And you still kiss me.

[ ehehe. ]

[ Yosuke chokes on air, then fights to clear his throat. ]

Yeah...you're pretty lucky, right?

[ He's joking. ]

[ Yu sits up straight, looking at Yosuke with soft eyes. ]

The luckiest.

[ That look... ]

You dork...

[ Well.

It's a little awkward, but Yosuke bends down as he tilts Yu's head up by tugging lightly at the back of his hair, catching his lips in a soft kiss. ]

[ Yu lifts his hands to cup Yosuke's face for this kiss. His thumbs stroke Yosuke's cheeks. ]

... come here, [ he murmurs once the kiss breaks. He's decided he'd rather just have Yosuke close, shirtless and cat-eared or not. ]

[youraffection]

[ Yosuke obliges.

Though probably not in the way Yu is expecting.

Because Yosuke situates himself on Yu's lap. ]

[ Yeah, no, this was not on the admittedly short list of things Yu was expecting to happen. He wraps his arms loosely around his boyfriend's middle without really thinking about it, but the look on his face is a question. ]

[youraffection]

[ Yosuke catches Yu's gaze, a little nervous, but determined. He set himself to do this so he's gonna do it. Yu might have denied that he's happy either to way, but Yosuke did promise. That's why he grabs the back of his shirt and sort of awkwardly pulls it up, over, and off. Which does knock the ears...so he has to adjust those back on his head. ]

[covenantal]

[ Well. Yeah. Yu was willing to let it go at this point, so Yosuke wriggling around while pulling his shirt off makes Yu's eyes go very wide. He briefly pulls his arms away, but slowly settles them around Yosuke's waist once again.

Yosuke's ... naked waist.

Yu swallows, tries to speak, and fails, all while his face turns a bright, splotchy red.

Eventually he just.

Let's his head fall forward onto Yosuke's chest and starts to laugh, quietly. ]

[youraffection]

[ He's waiting for some kind of reaction. You know, approval, disapproval...but not laughter, gentle though it may be. Yosuke suddenly feels very exposed, even though he was the one that did it. ]

W-What's so funny?

[ Did he take it too far? Was Yu just joking? ]

Isn't this what you wanted...?

[ Oh god. Is he a pervert now?? ]

No, I -- it's just -- it is, I just...

[ It's rare that he's ever so speechless. Yu looks up with shoulders still shaking with laughter, an utterly disarmed smile on his face. ]

I'm laughing because you make me so happy I don't even know what to say.

[youraffection]

[ Yu...his smiles are coming more frequently, if feels like. It warms Yosuke's heart to know so many are directed at him. He flusters still, wiggling a little as he shifts his weight and places his hands on his upper arms. ]

You sure it's not the ears...?

[ Because he could definitely understand that. ]

[covenantal]

[ Yu won't be able to hide the way he has to bite his lip a little bit when Yosuke wriggles around on his lap, and the knowledge of that is ... pretty mortifying.

How is it possible to feel so embarrassed and so happy at the same time? ]

No, it's... you look...

[ Yu trails off, words failing him. He'll duck his head, glancing askance even as his arms tighten a little around Yosuke's waist. ]

It's ... really attractive.

[ this is a mumble, very nearly indistinct between his very quiet voice and his bowed head. ]

[ Yosuke blinks. Yu is blushing, and he's sitting on Yu's lap with cat ears on. He's also blushing...and...

He can't help but laugh at that. Bubbly, a little high, but just...laughing at how wonderfully ridiculous the situation is. ]

You're so...

[ So?

Well, he doesn't finish the thought. Instead he just moves his hands up to Yu's shoulders, cupping the base of his neck as he leans in to place a soft kiss on his lips. ]

[ Yosuke's laugh gets Yu's head to whip up, but his look of surprise quickly melts into pure affection. His low hum of satisfaction is lost in the connection when their mouths meet. ]

You too, you know.

[ you're amazing too. ]

[youraffection]

[ Somehow, that flusters Yosuke just as much as when Yu drops the L bomb. ]

Shut up and enjoy your five minutes,

[ is mumbled against his lips. Lips that Yosuke is happy to claim more fully, sliding his hands up the sides of Yu's neck to cup his face. It's a slow, but purposeful kiss, deep in all the right places. ]

[ Yu's laughing uhm-hm is once again lost to the connection between their mouths. He melts in Yosuke's hands, feeling vulnerable and warm and safe, and does his level best to kiss Yosuke so deeply that the other will forget how to speak. Forget his own name. Soon they'll get ready for bed, and Yosuke will slip beneath the sheets with him, and he'll drift off to thoughts about how lucky he is.

And if he's storing mental pictures of his shirtless cat-eared boyfriend for later ... use, well. He's a teenage boy. He has needs. ]
