I totally get it. I haven't even been on here as long as some of the other people have and I'm still trying to make sense of everything I've been remembering. I remember a lot more than I ever wanted to and some of it is okay, but there's a lot out of context that I really, really hope there's an explanation for.

As cute as chipmunks are, I think I will pass. I heard about that, sort of, but that happened before I moved here. [There's a sheepish grin.] Actually? A lot of the crazy stuff happened before I moved here, so I guess there is even more context I'm missing around here.

Does that mean you missed the whole reality bending monster attacks on the city?

I think I showed up right when that was going on. People told me about everybody who was still outside of reality and everything and I dodged a lot of monsters which was definitely not what I expected when I was prepping for a fight with the university's housing department. I take it that means you were a part of it?

[ He hasn't really thought about it much that way until now. Yosuke had been kind of eased into the craziness, all starting with those damn chocobos. But to get thrown in during arguably one of the craziest incidents yet? Yikes. ]

Yeah, man. Travelled to another time or world or something and came back on a dragon to fight random ass monsters destroying the city. It was a trip.

Tell me about it. The worst part was that I was only aware of it for like a day before it went back to not knowing shit. That was weird.

[But he looks a little more than curious suddenly.] You were another one of the people sent to unreality, huh? I don't think I heard a lot about a dragon though, just the other parts of it. Where else did you go?

[ Yosuke shakes his head and figures he should probably at least act like he's stocking a shelf on the clock. He kind of...shifts a few boxes around. ]

Yeah, lucky me. I...erm, well, I started off in this crazy jungle, then ended up in a tomb..and then in the sky, and then in a castle in the sky. I wanna pretend it makes sense but it doesn't.

That's a new one. The ones I've heard about the most are the lab with the space sphinx and then the haunted mansion in the middle of a swamp. Does anything make sense around here anymore? I am guessing not.

No, not really. I think once you accept that it'll be easier to deal with everything else.

That's about the only way I think any of us can deal. But okay, now I have to ask. What's the weirdest thing you've heard of so far in this place? Stuff happening here or stuff that's happened to other people?

[ He pauses, having to think about that for a long moment. There's a lot of weird shit that goes on around Recolle, it's truly hard to pick one... ]

A friend of mine turned into a fox? Uh...and I had a sentient desk fan follow me around.

Oh, you know Souji? [He's seen the pictures and Dave was more than happy to show him the pictures, but then again:] ...a sentient...desk fan? Why? What?

Yeah! He's been a friend of mine for a while.

[ Souji also kind of knows everyone, so it's not surprising to Yosuke that they'd have a friend in common. ]

As for the desk fan...I don't even know. It just kind of showed up. It was kind of handy in a few situations? ...Sort of. But it had a face which made it extra creepy.

Cool. He seems like a nice guy? I think I've talked to his brother more than Souji himself but my roommate ended up in space with Souji, too. He got turned into a cat? [Shrug.]

Thanks, now I'm imagining it. And I will never look at fans the same way. What ended up happening to it? You don't still have it do you?

But a cat? Yeah, that's pretty weird too. Souji probably would've preferred that.

No, it...actually, what did happen to it? After that whole epic battle bullshit it just disappeared.

Oh, awesome. He seems pretty okay even if both of the Narukamis are a little too into cats. [He was at the house party, he knows what's up.]

I'd like a trade-in on my mental scarring experiences then. There's not a whole lot to be gained from it. But maybe the fan disappeared with the rest of the monsters? What if it was a monster but it was like...a nice monster? That's possible.

I guess I didn't really think about it. Maybe it's like those old school monsters...like the sandals and umbrellas that came to life after so many reason or somthing like that.

Hey, monster possession can still have some science behind it even if it's not supposed to make sense. [He shakes his head though.] Either way, maybe someday we will get the answers we want but I doubt it's today. Instead...we fight the good fight against garland.

Yeah. I guess I just never thought I'd be fighting the holidays so literally..

Did any of us? We had the rampant turkeys last month, why wouldn't demonic garland be the step up? As long as we do not have to deal with confetti bombs in January I think we can get past this.
