Around two, Yu is loitering at the entrance of their building, one hand in his pocket and the other scrolling through his CereVice. He's humming lightly to himself, a little tunelessly, absorbed in whatever it is he's doing. ]

Yosuke comes down right on time, as he usually is when Yu's involved. ]

[ And have a friendly slap on the shoulder. Because that's what friends do. Friendly friend friends. Friends who friend. ]

Yu looks up and smiles when he sees Yosuke, his expression something gently fond that gets touched with amusement at the slap. Yu gives him a nudge in return, a grin briefly flickering across his features. ]
Come on. [ He starts to lead the way as he slips his CereVice into his pocket. ] I think you'll like this place. They sell instruments as well as CDs and things like that.

Excuse as he pulls his hand away and shoves it into his pocket. ]
Oh yeah? I wonder if I've been here already. I had to get some new strings a couple weeks ago. 'cept the place I went to wasn't really in the business of selling recorded music.

Yu swallows around the brief warm squeeze in his chest and doesn't let anything strange at all show on his face. Instead he just looks thoughtful at the comment. ]
You might have. Their selection of CDs is small, but it seemed interesting, so I wanted to go back. I couldn't really fit it in my schedule again until now... and I wanted you to come with me, anyway. [ His smile warms again. ]

Uh--yeah, on and off. Since my jobs are all kinda random, I never know when I'm going to have free time. I've been taking my guitar to work with me 'cause it's nice when I have time afterwards to go find a place to chill our and just mess around, you know?

[ Not that Yosuk shouldn't keep striving. Yu's just saying he'd enjoy himself regardless.
He nods at the question. ]
With so many of the teachers at school missing, I have a lot more free time. I've been thinking about it ever since you mentioned it, anyway. It'd be nice.
[ There's a fond look on his face. The daycare may have been sometimes trying.... but he always enjoyed it, in the end. ]

[ If Yu wants to hear it, Yosuke's more inclined to go through with it, in the end. He's tossed around the idea of writing some himself, but he doesn't feel quite confident enough in his abilities. ]
Hey, I know you're good at it. But how many jobs do you have right now, man? I mean, things'll pick back up again, won't they?

The question gets him to huff a breath, the sound not quite a laugh. ]
Only the two, and work at Niteo has been intermittent ever since all the city's robots went offline. I can definitely afford the time. Especially if you and Rise are managing three jobs each. [ A bit wry. ] I feel like I've been slacking off, if anything.

It's a little different when your hours aren't, like, set, ya know. [ He is honestly worried about his friend. ] If it'll make you happy, then I say go for it. Just don't overdo it, okay?

Yu blows out a silent breath. It's such a glaringly obvious subject change, but honestly, he's grateful for the excuse to move on. He shakes his head slowly, a crooked smile tilting his lips up. ]
Not really. Just something new, I think. I don't listen to music that much... [ Thoughtfully. Yosuke will know this about him, anyway, and Yu slips a hand into his pocket as his gaze tracks skyward. ] I was thinking of changing that.
