[ Yosuke reaches up, cupping Yu's face in his hands. He looks at his boyfriend very purposely. ]

I really like you. [ A kiss, slow but soft. ] Even the weird parts.

[covenantal]

Yu quickly goes a bit red in the face, his brow knitting low and tight.

In the end he'll lean in, pressing a few quick kisses to Yosuke's jaw and neck, and then simply ... tug his boyfriend close, hugging him tightly.

Very softly: ]

I really like you too.

[ Yu is always so sweet and affectionate with him. Who would have thought this quiet boy would be prone to warm hugs and a showering of quick kisses? But that's Yu. And Yosuke does like him quite a bit. It's why he's willing to do this.

He moves to loop his arms around Yu's shoulders, hugging him in turn. ]

Does that mean you still feel like causing trouble?

[ A beat.

Murmured against Yosuke's skin: ]

[ Obviously not really but he still wants to see those cat ears on his boyfriend. ]

[ Yosuke laughs lightly, before quickly clearing his throat. ]

[ Okay. ]

S-So...how d'ya wanna do this...?

[ He cringes at his own word choice. ]

--Ugh, sorry. When I put it like that it sounds...

[ Yu kisses him before Yosuke can finish that sentence.

And then he'll disentangle himself to go dig through his closet for a moment. Eventually, he emerges holding not one... not two... but three different pairs of cat ears.

He holds these up as he smiles and takes a seat on the bed. ]

Maybe we can start with these. [ The mischief is back in his eyes. ]

[ Of course Yu has multiple pairs. Of course.

Yosuke just kind of stares for a moment before kind of slowly shuffling over to the other boy. ]

What do you mean "start"?

[ How many pairs is he going to be trying on? Does Yu want to find the right match?? ]

[ Of course he has several different pairs. He holds forth the fluffy pair first. ]

Well, we need to see which pair suits you best, don't we?

[youraffection]

[ These are all terrible, Yu. All of them. ]

Right...

[ Okay. Well. He'll take his jacket and apron off, letting them hang off the back of Yu's desk chair before moving to stand in front of him again. Then...yeah, he puts the fluffy ears on. ]

[ This is the best day of his life. Yu can't stop smiling even though he's obviously trying (and failing) to pull a straight face. ]

Cute, but not very you. Try this pair.

[ Offers the lace pair. ]

[ Yosuke sighs, taking off the fluffy pair and... ]

...You think these are me?

[ Lace?? ]

I'm not sure I wanna know what that implies.

[ But he promised, so he puts them on. And he's not pouting, he's just pouting. ]

It's best to try out all our options, don't you think?

[ grins innocently as he sets aside the fluffy pair.

In the end, he'll shake his head, frowning critically. ]

No, not these either. Here, I saved the best for last.

[ Yu hands over the final -- sparkly -- pair. ]

[ Of course...

Yosuke takes the lace ones off, holding them out to Yu so he can trade them for--

--these...things. ]

...I think we've got different ideas on what "the best" would be.

[ Welp. He purses his lips slightly and plops them on his head. ]

Okay. Ridiculous enough yet?

[ Yu sets aside the second pair of cat ears...

... and curls a hand over his mouth to (poorly) hide his delight. ]

They're perfect.

The sparkly ones? Really?

[ Oh my god, Yu. Why are you so weird? ]

They're classy, [ he manages to say with a mostly straight face. He'll reach out, tugging on Yosuke's hips to bring his boyfriend a little closer. ]

Stand right here. I need to take a picture in my mind.

Isn't glitter the opposite of classy?

[ But he will step forward until his knees bump Yu's, though his arms are crossed because has to be appropriately huffy about this. ]

You make them classy.

[ He's gonna pull Yosuke's hands apart until he can press a gentle kiss to the inside of one of his boyfriend's wrists.

... does he ask about Yosuke taking the shirt off or just take what he can get... ]

[ Don't worry, Yu, it's coming. As it stands the kisses and Yu's somewhat chiding compliment are enough to soften some of his edges about all of this. Yosuke sighs audibly, once again taking Yu's face in his hands so he can lean down and give him a short, but proper kiss on the lips.

[ Yu hums contentedly into the kiss, wondering how it is that they've been dating since June but Yosuke can still make his stomach twist?

He'll laugh, caught off guard, and his smile is crooked and sweet. ]

You could make anything classy, [ he murmurs, and means it. ]

[ He laughs, airy and warm against Yu's lips. ]

Now I know that you're just trying to butter me up.

[ Yu kisses him again, lingering until he's satisfied. ]

[ HES BEEN WAITING SO PATIENTLY FOR HIS CHANCE ]

Nope, we're done.

[ HE'S TRYING TO DO THIS THING FOR YOU, YU, WHY YOU GOTTA EMBARRASS HIM. ]

[ WRAPS HIS ARMS AROUND YOSUKE'S WAIST ]

[ To his credit he's really just shoving at Yu's shoulders to prove a point. ]

I think the idea's there without the weird name.
