[ And Yosuke does head right over from Freshens, pulling on his coat and hopping on his bike. The ride is a little farther than it was to Yu's old place, but with traffic being light at this time, he makes it there reasonably. Parking his bike out front, Yosuke makes his way up to a familiar door.

And knocks. ]

It's me.

[ He might as well let himself in, right? He's basically living here part time at this point. ]

[ Yosuke probably has his own keys at this point.

But he'll find Yu at the door, almost as if he were waiting...

... and with a sweet smile on his face he immediately tugs Yosuke into his arms in a tight, affectionate hug, nuzzling his boyfriend's cheek and ear and neck. ]

Welcome home, [ he murmurs, but what he actually said was I love you. ]

[ How can one person make him feel so special in the span of a couple seconds? Yosuke was nervous coming over for obvious reasons, but all it took is Yu's heartfelt "welcome home" and he already feels more at ease.

Is this really where he belongs? ]

"I'm back",

[ He'll joke as he returns the hug, laughing a little. He's still in his work clothes--most notably the store apron--so it does feel a little like coming home after a long shift... ]

[ Yu showers his face in little kisses before finally relenting and stepping back so Yosuke can come in. Over his shoulder, with mischief in his eyes: ]

How was work, honey?

[ Omg. Okay, he didn't realize his own little mental scenario is exactly what Yu would run with, but of course it is. Yosuke grins a little awkwardly as he follows Yu inside and then playfully jabs the other boy's side. ]

Busy? I guess some stores closed so everyone was stopping by. But nothing really interesting happened.

[ Yu huffs a sharp, sudden laugh as he dances away from those jabbing fingers, leading them first into the kitchen to grab some drinks. ]

Some stores closed? I wonder what. I'll have to take a look around. [ a beat. ] In the meantime, hun, why don't you get washed up for dinner?

[ Obviously teasing now. ]

Yeah. I don't really remember what, just some people seemed "inconvenienced" by it.

[ Retail is a thankless job, Yu. ]

You are such a dork!

[ He's gonna go in for another jab! And then kind of just. Stay in Yu's personal space. ]

But what about you? Other than subjecting the entirety of Retrospec to your weird competition.

[ Yu is laughing as he leans back against the kitchen counter, reaching out to look his arms around Yosuke's waist and tug him close for a kiss.

The look on his face is deeply fond once he breaks away. ]

Today's my one day off. I'm relaxing. [ A beat. Blasé: ] And terrorizing the network.

[ Yosuke wraps his arms around Yu's shoulders in turn, though he makes a face at that final comment. ]

Maybe a little more relaxing and a lot less of that, yeah?

[ Pecks Yosuke on the lips, grinning. ]

Hmm... I'm still feeling like causing trouble. If only someone could stop me?

You're terrible.

[ It's said with a smile, though he's...mostly certain Yu is just teasing. Mostly. (He can't really 100% trust his intentions when he's being baited by Souji, apparently.) Still, he slides his hands up to the back of Yu's head and places a much more enticing kiss on the other boy's lips. ]

Am I going to have to keep you distracted?

[ Honestly, Akira was 100% right in calling him out. Yu talks a big game, but he can't carry it through like Souji can, since he gets mortified before he can and then it's all over.

Which is why, when Yosuke touches him like that, kisses him like that, Yosuke will be rewarded with a little shiver. There's a glassy look on his face when Yosuke pulls away, and a faint blush in his cheeks. ]

... mm, I could always graduate to a fruit salad costume ...

[ aka: yes. ]

[ That's a face he's seen more often, recently. He...probably should keep that in mind, considering how Halloween went, but...

He kind of likes it? And he also would really, really like to never hear about these fruit costumes ever again. So he's appropriately motivated. ]

Nope.

[ Yosuke leans in again, drawing the next kiss out as he leans into Yu. ]

[ Yu has to swallow a hum of satisfaction when Yosuke kisses him again, and he can't help leaning into it, his hands sliding down to Yosuke's waist and pulling his boyfriend a little closer.

It would probably be a really nice, satisfying, even hot kiss, until Yu abruptly pictures Yosuke shirtless with the cat ears on,

and chokes,

and has to hide his face in his boyfriend's shoulder. ]

[ It's a good kiss, potentially the kind that they should take upstairs so none of Yu's housemates happen upon--

--well. It could have been.

Yosuke blinks, glancing down at the back of his boyfriend's head. ]

Yu?

[ he's dying.

after an extended moment: ]

Will ... will you really wear the cat ears?

[ it would be great if the floor swallowed him up right now. ]

[ Oh geez.

This was way easier to talk about over text. Now Yu's face isn't the only one that's burning.

Yosuke swallows. ]

Y-Yeah...I promised...

[ A beat. ]

Don't feel like you have to, okay?

[ he's willing to give up his dreams for Yosuke's sake... ]

[ Yu... ]

...I know.

[ They tease eachother a lot, but Yu is fairly aware of Yosuke's limits. And cat ears are way more acceptable than a grape bikini. ]

...I-I want to...?

[ Of course, saying that makes him feel ten times warmer. ]

I-If it's something you'll like, I mean...

[ His shoulders twitch.

Apparently all he can do is nod wordlessly against Yosuke's shoulder.

When he masters himself enough to look up, though, there's a crooked grin on his face. And, despite his own nerves, he'll start laughing quietly as he leans in to nose at Yosuke's cheek. ]

[ Yu...

Gah.

Yosuke, still flushed, finds himself laughing a little awkwardly in turn. Yu is so sweet and cute and is he saying he wants to do something for Yu because Yu night actually, dare he think, find it attractive? ]

Do you, uh...want me to...?

[ Now? ]

[ The look in Yu's eyes is bright as he pulls back enough to meet his boyfriend's gaze.

His answer is a small, sweet smile and a kiss placed tenderly between Yosuke's eyes, and then he'll disentangle himself so he can take Yosuke's hand instead and lead the way upstairs.

He is trying very hard not to seem too eager. ]

[ Ahhhhhh.

That's all Yosuke's mind is doing. Quietly screaming while is heart starts to race. This is such a silly thing but it feels like a big deal. Yosuke grips Yu's hand a little tighter than he probably should, letting the other big take him along the familiar path to his room.

Once they're there, Yosuke tugs on Yu's hand. ]

[ Yu was going to do something to ease Yosuke's nerves once they were hidden safely away in his room -- hold him, or shower his face in kisses -- but the tug on his hand is a surprise. Yu will still reach out to wrap his arms loosely around Yosuke's waist, but the tilt of his head is a question. ]
